Roger Hall '50

You are here

Roger Hall '50 has long been a supporter of Trinity College. As a student he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, Medusa (senior honor society) and the student senate. In 1949 he served as captain of the varsity football team and received the prestigious 1935 Award, recognizing him as the player of greatest value to his team, which was undefeated that season. Currently a member of the Trinity Hartford Club, Roger also has served on his class's 50th Reunion Gift Committee and as an admission volunteer.

Most recently Roger and his wife, Irene, decided to support Trinity by means of a two-life charitable gift annuity. Through this gift arrangement the Halls will receive regular payments based on a high, preset rate, with some of the income being tax-free. They also will be eligible for a charitable tax deduction. Their generous gift will eventually support athletics at Trinity.

Charitable Gift Annuity Features

  • Fixed payments, based on the age of the beneficiary(ies) at the time of the gift.
  • Charitable income tax deduction on a portion of the gift in the year it is funded.
  • Usually some tax-free income.
  • Possible reduction of capital gains tax.
  • Worry-free, no-cost money management.
